 erving the stories of Austrian-Jewish emigrants who fled Nazi persecutio
 n and rebuilt their lives in North America. Established in 1996 through 
 a collaboration between the &lt\;a href=&quot\;https://www.nationalfonds
 .org/home&quot\;&gt\;National Fund of the Republic of Austria for Victim
 s of National Socialism&lt\;/a&gt\;\, the Austrian Cultural Forum New Yo
 rk\, the &lt\;a href=&quot\;https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gedenkdienst&q
 uot\;&gt\;GEDENKDIENST&lt\;/a&gt\; association\, and the &lt\;a href=&qu
 ot\;https://www.lbi.org/&quot\;&gt\;Leo Baeck Institute New York&lt\;/a&
 gt\;\, the project has documented more than three decades of personal hi
 stories through oral history interviews\, questionnaires\, and archival 
 materials. As the generation of survivors and eyewitnesses passes away\,
  the Austrian Heritage Collection is entering a new phase. Increasingly\
 , the project engages with the children and relatives of emigrants and s
 urvivors &#8211\; the so-called second generation &#8211\; whose perspec
 tives offer new insights into memory\, identity\, and the transmission o
 f historical experience. This anniversary event serves both as a celebra
 tion of the Collection’s achievements and as a reflection on its future
