 bier shoots it like a series of paintings\, with solid color fields betw
 een scenes and costumes that melt into the landscape. That palette was t
 he biggest single reference for THE INVITE’s look – the idea that color 
 itself can do real comic and emotional work. Varda treats beauty as a to
