A "son of Brooklyn," Brown founded EVIDENCE in 1985, and the company has become synonymous with deeply spiritual storytelling that connects audiences to the histories, traditions, and evolving expressions of the African Diaspora. He is one of the most visionary and prolific choreographers of his generation, with international acclaim on the world's great stages. His long-standing partnership with The Billie is a full-circle moment: from his first childhood dance classes on the Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation campus to making his dance home in the same studios of his youth.
