Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought of Yeshiva University in honor of America&#39;s 250th birthday. Under the leadership of Director Rabbi Dr. Meir Soloveichik, students will explore the exceptional legacy of America, responsible citizenship, and the indispensable role of Hebraic ideas in the shaping of America.<br><br>Through private lectures and exclusive tours, students will have the opportunity to learn about America through a singular lens, one that blends the American and Jewish experience together. Drawing on themes explored in Rabbi Dr. Soloveichik&#8217;s&#160;<em>Providence and Power: Ten Portraits in Jewish Statesmanship</em>&#160;and&#160;<em>Jewish Roots of American Liberty: The Impact of Hebraic Ideas on the American Story</em>, which features essays by Straus Center faculty, the program highlights how Jewish ideas and leaders have helped shape the moral and political foundations of the United States. Along the way, students will engage with leading scholars of this generation and meet like-minded peers from across the country, all coming together to celebrate America at this unique time.</p>
