Lifeguard

In Lifeguard by Kristen Palmer, three lives intersect at a public pool: a recent high school graduate, a dropout without direction, and a teacher stalled by old regrets. An offer of help snowballs into conversation about self-determination, accountability and how we can try to heal our pasts.
