Welcome to Jursapphic Park! We love a strong protagonist, and Jurassic Park’s Ellie Sattler is no exception. As a paleobotanist, she’s intelligent and passionate about her work. She challenges traditional gender roles by excelling in a male-dominated field and rejecting the damsel-in-distress stereotype. Ellie risks her life to save others, outsmarts deadly velociraptors, and ultimately saves the day. Jursapphic Park celebrates individuals like Ellie who defy society’s expectations. With a fun dinosaur theme, it’s inspired by those who take risks and stay true to themselves. "Sapphic" is an umbrella term encompassing a spectrum of sexual and romantic orientations and gender identities. We welcome queer and queer-curious women of all orientations, as well as transgender and non-binary/GNC individuals who identify as sapphic. Jursapphic Park is produced and staffed by non-cis-men, with cis men respectfully absent from this event.
