GinaMarie Rodriguez Bass & Jules Ross Drums. • Ty Varesi is an experimental guitarist and visual artist from the outskirts of Atlanta, GA. Moving to New York in the fall of 2023, he quickly made a name for himself in the city with his abrasive noise project Genre is Death due to his frenzied guitar playing style which can best be described as Branc-ian. An authentic guitar visionary, Ty is a true one of one. Never playing the same thing twice. Never thinking about what note comes next. Always open to beer and a good time. Ty Varesi is a unique talent who effortlessly stands tall among a new generation of up and coming musicians. His solo work follows the nominal ethos of “Genre is Death” but tends to be less dissonant in nature. Southern rock, blues and rock n roll showcase Ty’s love of his southern upbringing but his admiration of Elliott Smith, Rowland S Howard and Captain Beefheart emphasize that the depth of his expression doesn’t necessarily end with a round and a smoke. • Tom Carter (Charalambides) and Loren Connors (legendary astral bluesman) have been sporadically entwining their guitar strings since 2008. Since then, they've played a handful of duos on a variety of stages, swimming among the shadows of overloaded reverb and subterranean tones, spinning out lost melodies that ply the fog in search of resolution -- but always devoted to weaving thick, meditative soundscapes of blacker-than-velvet beauty.
